Wish Candles

Artist Lola and I collaborated on a series of wish candles: Lola created the concepts and designed the lettering, while I created imagery and sculpted the candles.

Lola was already communing with symbols of wishing: pennies, dandelions, stars, and birthday candles. I incorporated imagery I was drawn to (gradients, ceramic tiles, statues) and the result is a collection of wistful dreams, both lofty and attainable.
